Hello If I want to buy a kintex-7 board, can I work with DDR3 RAM ? I mean is there any prepared cores for it? I've heard working with DDR RAM is so difficult... but my huge processed data should be saved on it. I'm a student university and my time is limited... I need a technical answer... Regards
Hi Ali, Writing DDR core is indeed difficult but using one doesn't have to be. Xilinx do offer DDR3 core for free and is bundled with Vivado. There is a tutorial on our documentation portal that talks about how to use DDR3 in a Microblaze based system. Thanks, Tom Numato Lab
