   Hi Gary,
   
   It is technically possible to use +12V at the external power input on Mimas. But I would carefully monitor the temperature of the LM317 LDO regulators. LDOs can warm up quite a bit with increase in input voltage. Using a fan is recommended if the regulators warms up too much.
